Review of Cozumel’s five-hour buggy tour with Mayan culture, tequila tasting, coastal stops, natural pools, practical tips, and value advice.

“Our guide Victor was the perfect host for a wonderful day touring Cozumel. A quick 45 minute ferry from Playa del Carmen offered a great day trip that did not disappoint. A great mix of Mayan history, tequila tasting, exploring the coast with a stop at a local beachfront taco stand for the absolute best fish tacos I've ever had, and snorkeling in the crystal clear waters where we saw so many beautiful fish and even a stingray! Victor seems to know everyone on the island, including the other tour guides who all mentioned he was the best of the best and we agree. What a day!”

“It was our first time in Mexico. We came by cruise ship and I was hesitant to book an independent excursion not knowing if we could make it back to the ship on time. But our guide, Elias, was fantastic! He was prompt so we started our tour on time with plenty of time for snorkelling and swimming and getting back to the ship for departure. Elias was professional and accomodating. We needed to pick up some essentials before going back to the shp and he gladly took us to where we could purchase these. The tour started with a visit to a cenote where we saw a lone crocodile…”

“We booked the tour online. The tour operator office does not exist, we called them and were picked up at a random spot in the street. The company delivered a buggy and a Mustang car but both sets of customers had asked for a buggy. Myself and another couple complained and the manager arrived saying they only have the two cars (buggy and Mustang). We went to inspect the cars. The tyres were bald, rubber parts were hanging off the car, the interior of the cars were damaged. We asked for a refund, we were told to call viator but then the tour guide drove off. We signed no documents…”

Review of Cozumel in Buggy with Beach Time, a private four-hour island tour with monuments, tequila tasting, and beach club access.

“We pulled up to the port of Cozumel with the virgin voyages cruise. The original excursion we booked through the cruise got canceled due to the weather so we didn’t have anything else to do. The booking kiosk was located downstairs right as you get off the elevator. I believe it said Carlos and Charlie (I don’t remember, it was 8 AM). The man at the booth was very charismatic and knowledgeable. He gave us a map and marked out all the stops the tour would take. There was a jeep tour, ATV ride, a visit to the Chula’s beach club, tequila tasting, etc. We went with the ATV cenote…”

“We had aeonderf day with Isaac, who is charming, flexible and knowledgable. We went “off-script” to see more local culture. Delicious breakfast at a locals’ favorite in a garden setting, and a drive through town. Then it was a fire dance, the best tequila I’ve ever had, honey and wine tastings, with cochinita pibil tacos. Off across the island a drive down a gorgeous beach to a stand called Welcome to Miami for the best mojito. We don’t snorkel but had plenty to do!”
